Hayter Harrier 56 BBC Autodrive Rear-Roller Lawn Mower (Code: 575A)
Ease of use
A self-propelled mower with a variable speed autodrive system, the Harrier 575A makes light work of everyday lawn care. It’s light enough to maneuver around flower beds, borders or trees, and its high-traction rear roller guarantees that it’ll turn without damaging your turf.
The 575A also boasts a BBC (blade brake clutch) system that allows you to halt the blade without stopping the engine; cutting down on the time it takes to empty the large (70l) grass bag, and allowing you to reposition the mower without struggling with pull cords and chokes.
The Harrier 575A is also incredibly easy to set up and use. The cut height is set with a single counterbalanced lever; the handle folds down for easy storage/transport and the autodrive system uses Hayter’s own Sense-a-Speed technology to automatically match your pace.
If you’re looking for a user-friendly mower that’ll make light work of a large lawn, you’d be hard pressed to find something better.
Performance
The Harrier 575A is built around a powerful Briggs and Stratton 850 Ex Series engine that provides 5hp, and enough torque to ensure that you always get a consistent finish. The 575A also benefits from an advanced cut and collect system that uses aerospace technology to improve the efficiency of your mow, and drastically reduce the amount of stray clippings.
And if that wasn’t enough, it’s high-performance rear roller is split into two, enabling you to produce those classic British lawn stripes without compromising your ability to create a neat edge, or damaging your grass as you cut.
Efficiency
Despite its hefty engine and 56cm cutting width, the Harrier 575A manages to maintain a good level of efficiency by employing an aluminium cutting deck, and a lightweight design. The Briggs and Stratton 850 Ex Series engine is also built to be as eco-friendly as possible, and uses an OVH layout to maximise fuel efficiency.
Durability
The Harrier 575A is a precision-built mower that’s been engineered to withstand the rigorous of everyday use. It’s cutting deck is made from corrosion-resistant aluminium, the rear roller uses self-aligning bearings and every effort has been made to ensure that durable materials are used throughout.
Hayter have also opted to use a unique cutter blade friction disc – which is designed to protect the engine when you hit a solid object – and there’s a lifetime warranty against camshaft bending, so you don’t have to worry about hitting debris or detritus.
Best of all though, the Harrier 575A benefits from a 5 year warranty as standard, which makes this powerful mower one of the most reliable models in the Hayter range.
